Dr Norris endeavours to provide consistent and personalised care to each patient, both in the early stages of your surgery journey and postoperatively. Dr Norris has over 20 years of operational experience, with particular skill in plastic surgery for the breasts, body and face. As a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with a focus in cosmetic surgery, he is qualified to complete your facelift and neck lift (Rhytidectomy) with the precision of a plastic surgeon. Dr Norris aims to leave you feeling comfortable and informed, as he understands the importance of involving patients every step of the way with the procedure.
If you are over the age of 40, in good health, possess relatively elastic skin, and have a well-defined bone structure, you make an ideal candidate for a facelift or neck lift. These facial cosmetic procedures can enhance the cheekbones, neck, and jawline while striving for a natural-looking outcome, which is the goal Dr. Norris aims to achieve.
Your facelift surgery will be performed by Dr Norris in fully accredited medical facilities where you will be attended to by top professionals. Facelift and neck lifting procedures are performed under general anaesthesia.
There are three steps in a traditional full-face facelift:
Face and neck lift surgery takes approximately 3-5 hours, depending on the patient and the procedure. If you are having out-patient surgery, you will be in the hospital for about seven hours. More complex procedures may require an overnight stay.
After a facelift or neck lift, you’ll go to a recovery room, receive pain medication for comfort, and be closely monitored. A facial bandage may be applied, and drainage tubes placed under the skin, typically removed within a day or two. Bandages stay on for one to five days, and a surgical facial garment is worn for six weeks. Sutures are used to close incisions, usually removed after five days, while those in the hairline area may remain longer for optimal healing.
After Dr Norris removes your stitches and bandages:
A follow-up with Dr. Norris is set for 3-7 days after the operation to check incisions and offer post-surgical guidance, which includes:
Dr. Norris provides a Lifetime Followup Guarantee to all patients of Form and Face so that you can feel supported throughout the recovery process and beyond.
