Mesoestetic Peels are a range of professional chemical peels that target various skin concerns, including signs of ageing, hyperpigmentation, acne, and uneven skin texture. They exfoliate the outer layers of the skin and are available in different formulations and strengths. This allows skincare professionals to customise treatments to meet the specific needs and goals of each individual’s skin.

Results are often visible after a series of treatments and generally continue to show over a prolonged period.

PIRUVEX

The Piruvex peel combines pyruvic acid and lactic acid to lift dead cells off the surface and stimulate the proliferation of the cells in the basal layer underneath. This results in a healthier living zone for the skin. With a series of Piruvex Peels, you can treat fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, and photo ageing.

Please note that all exfoliation treatments make your skin more sensitive to the sun. You should use sunscreen with SPF# 30 daily and avoid sun exposure.

The patient needs to be prepared with our at-home 10-day Glycolic ampule set and ABC treatment kit, which are all available at our clinic in Bondi Junction. Since each patient’s needs are different, it would be best for the patient to come and see one of our nurses first to get the products suited to their needs, which will then prepare them for the peel.

Immediately after the peel, the skin will appear quite pink, and in some cases, it may feel sensitive. Within about three days, you will start to flake for about five days (in some cases, the flaking may take a few days longer). Most flaking will appear in the areas where there is the most damage.

TCA

A superficial TCA (Trichloracetic Acid) Peel promotes skin cell renewal by lifting dead cells off the surface and stimulating the metabolism of the cells underneath. With a series of TCA Peels, you can address the appearance of superficial lines and uneven pigmentation. Acne scars and enlarged pores may become less noticeable, and acne breakouts may be reduced.

TCA Peels are usually suitable for all skin types, including patients with:

  • Acne or sensitive skin
  • Sunspots, hormonal pigmentation, or sun-damaged skin
  • Dry, ageing skin
  • Oily skin with enlarged pores
  • Acne scarring

All exfoliation treatments make your skin more sensitive to the sun, so you should use sunscreen with SPF# 30 daily and avoid sun exposure.

A mild skin redness occurs following the treatment, followed by dark scaling that appears within three to five days and sloughs off after five to seven days. Mild peels, such as the 10 to 15 % TCA, may be repeated at two-week intervals until the desired clinical effect is achieved.

JESSNER

A Jessner’s Peel is a medium-depth peel that combines resorcinol, lactic acid, and salicylic acid, resulting in deeper penetration and greater exfoliation of the outer layers of skin cells. It is suitable for patients with acne and oily or thicker skin because it tends to decrease oil production and open clogged sebaceous follicles.

The patient needs to be prepared with our at-home 10-day Glycolic ampule set and our ABC treatment kit. These are all available at our clinic in Bondi Junction. Since each patient’s needs are different, it would be best for the patient to come and see one of our cosmetic staff first to get the products best suited for their needs, which will then prepare them for the peel.

The treated area will peel and flake for about seven days and turn pink or brown afterwards. This deeper exfoliation produces noticeable flaking and exfoliation in the following three to four days after the peel, and within a week (to ten days), patients may experience the final results.

The Jessner’s peel can be suitable for all skin types to treat mild to severe acne, discolouration, moderate wrinkling, and sun damage.

MELANOSTOP

Melanostop peel is a combination peel used to treat difficult epidermal pigmentation. It consists of azelaic acid, resorcinol, and phytic acid. This combination of chemical exfoliants inhibits the formation of abnormal melanin pigmentations and breaks the cohesion of the corneal layer of keratinocytes. MELANOSTOP PEEL promotes skin cell renewal in the epidermis, increasing its thickness and lightening the skin by the action of the following ingredients:

  • Azelaic acid inhibits melanocytes, lightens pigmented maculae, and helps normalise keratinisation.
  • Resorcinol is a keratolytic – it modifies the permeability of cell membranes. It combats hyperpigmentation and has a whitening effect.
  • Phytic acid is a powerful copper-chelating agent. Copper is an essential cofactor for activating tyrosinase. It also has depigmenting and antioxidant effects.

Melanostop can be used on patients with hyperpigmentation, melasma, and other dark skin discolourations.
