Male Liposuction Before and After Photos

With age, pockets of fat accumulate around the abdomen, flanks, breasts, chin and neck. For men affected by this condition, liposuction can help remove excess fat in the target area by using a small, thin tube connected to a powerful suction machine.

Take the time to look at our male liposuction before and after photos to see Dr Norris’ work.

The outcomes shown are only relevant for this patient and do not necessarily reflect the results other patients may experience. Results may vary due to many factors, including the individual’s genetics and lifestyle.

The Liposuction Procedure

The length of a liposuction procedure can vary depending on the area being treated and the amount of fat removed. This can be done under either a local or general anaesthetic.

Dr Norris will inject a liquid into the treated area to expand the fat components and reduce bleeding and trauma. A thin, hollow tube, known as a cannula, will then be inserted through the incisions to loosen excess fat from the treatment area using a controlled back-and-forth motion. This dislodged fat is then suctioned out of the body using a surgical vacuum attached to the cannula. Due to swelling, the results of the procedure will not be immediately visible and may take up to six weeks to be seen.

Suitable Candidates for Male Liposuction

At Form and Face Clinic in Sydney, the first step to determining candidacy for male liposuction is to have a consultation with Dr Norris. Suitable candidates are looking to address persistent fat deposits that are resistant to diet and exercise. In addition, candidates should have firm, elastic skin coupled with good muscle tone, body weight within 30% of the target weight, good overall health, and realistic expectations regarding the procedure’s outcomes.

What to Expect After Liposuction

After the procedure, Dr Norris will apply a bandage or dressing to your incisions. A small, thin tube may also be placed under the skin to drain excess blood or fluid. You may also need to wear a compression garment to help control swelling and compress the skin to the new body contours.

Following a liposuction procedure, you will need to take some time off work to rest. However, most patients can return to all normal activities within two weeks, except for strenuous exercise.
