Male Liposuction Before and After Photos

With age, areas of stubborn fat often tend to accumulate around the abdomen, flanks, breasts, chin and neck. If you are a male considering liposuction to achieve your desired body contour, take the time to look at our male liposuction before and after photos to see if Dr Norris’ work appeals to you.

The outcomes shown are only relevant for this patient and do not necessarily reflect the results other patients may experience, as results may vary due to many factors including the individual’s genetics, diet and exercise.

The liposuction procedure

The length of a liposuction procedure can vary depending on the area being treated and the amount of fat removed. This can be done under either a local or general anaesthetic.

Dr Norris will inject a liquid into the treated area to expand the fat components and reduce bleeding and trauma. A thin, hollow tube, known as a cannula, will then be inserted through the incisions to loosen excess fat from the treatment area using a controlled back and forth motion. This dislodged fat is then suctioned out of the body using a surgical vacuum attached to the cannula. Due to swelling, the end result of your procedure will not be immediately visible, and may take up to six weeks to fully appear.

Potential candidates for male liposuction

At Form and Face clinic in Sydney, the first step to determining whether you are a candidate for liposuction for men is to have a consultation with Dr Norris. You are a potential candidate if:

  • You have areas of stubborn fat that don’t respond to diet or exercise
  • You have firm, elastic skin and good muscle tone
  • You are within 30% of your goal weight
  • You are physically healthy
  • You have realistic expectations

What to expect after liposuction

After your procedure, Dr Norris will apply a bandage or dressing to your incisions. A small, thin tube may also be placed under the skin to drain any excess blood or fluid in the days following the procedure. You may also need to wear a compression garment to help control swelling and compress the skin to your new body contours.

You will need to take some time off work to rest following a liposuction procedure, however most patients are able to return to all normal activities, with the exception of strenuous exercise, within two weeks.
