- Vertical lip lines
Aesthetic Facial Treatments for Volume Loss Procedure
Before the procedure, the practitioner will mark the areas of the face needing treatment. Photographs of the area will also be taken for comparison. The practitioner will then cleanse your face with an antibacterial agent to prevent infection. An anesthetic cream will also be applied to reduce discomfort. Once the site is prepared, a substance will be injected into the target area to add volume. During the injection process, a pinching or stinging sensation may be felt. After the target facial areas have been injected, the practitioner will cleanse the markings and apply an ice pack to reduce swelling.
Results
The results of the procedure usually last for several months. However, you need to undergo a number of injections in a year to maintain the outcome. It should also be noted that results are not guaranteed and will vary between patients.
Limitations
It is important to keep in mind that aesthetic facial treatments for volume loss will not prevent skin ageing. You need to have maintenance shots to prevent facial wrinkles from reappearing. In addition, this is not recommended if the degree of skin laxity in the face is severe.
Side Effects
Swelling, redness, and tenderness of the face can occur a few hours after the procedure. You may also feel pain and itching at the injection site.
