Breast Lift with Implants (Mastopexy with Augmentation Mammoplasty) Before and After Photos

Many women desire a breast lift (mastopexy) to restore shape to the breasts which may have altered due to age, pregnancy, gravity and weight loss. However, a mastopexy alone will not increase the size of the breasts, which can only be achieved with an augmentation mammoplasty. If you desire both larger and lifted breasts, take the time to look at our breast lift with implants (mastopexy with augmentation mammoplasty) before and after photos to see if Dr Norris’ work appeals to you.

The outcomes shown are only relevant for this patient and do not necessarily reflect the results other patients may experience. Results may vary due to many factors, including the individual’s genetics and lifestyle.

The Breast Lift with Implants (Mastopexy with Augmentation Mammoplasty) Procedure

Before undergoing a breast lift with implants, also known as an augmentation mammoplasty and mastopexy, you will need to decide on an implant type, texture, shape and size, as well as an implant location. The surgery itself will take between two to three hours to complete and is performed under general anaesthesia.

Dr Norris will make an incision, most often around the areola and vertically down to the breast crease. Once the incisions are made, Dr Norris will remove excess skin and breast tissue and reposition the nipple and areola. Your implants will then be inserted either over or under the pectoral muscle. Dr Norris will then close your incisions with dissolvable sutures.

Suitable Candidates for Breast Lift with Implants (Mastopexy With Augmentation Mammoplasty)

At Form and Face clinic in Sydney, candidates for the procedure begin with a consultation with Dr Norris to assess suitability. Suitable candidates typically exhibit the following characteristics:

  • Full development of breasts
  • Dissatisfaction with the size and appearance of breasts
  • Noticeable loss of breast shape and volume due to factors such as pregnancy, weight loss, or ageing
  • Nipples that descend below the breast crease when not supported by a bra
  • Downward-pointing nipples and areolas
  • Stretched skin and enlarged areolas on the breasts
  • Asymmetry with one breast positioned lower than the other
  • Good overall physical health
  • Realistic expectations regarding the outcome of the surgery

What to Expect After an Augmentation Mammoplasty with Mastopexy

Following an augmentation mammoplasty and mastopexy, you will need to wear a surgical bra to provide support to your breasts. A small, thin tube may also be placed under the skin to drain any excess blood or fluid in the days following the procedure.

You will need to take some time off work to rest following a breast lift with implants. However, most patients can return to all normal activities, except for strenuous exercise, within two weeks.
