BBL Pigmentation Before and After Photos
Broadband Light (BBL) uses intense pulsed light (IPL) to target skin discolouration, age spots, sun damage, acne, rosacea, vascular lesions, and unwanted hair. The light energy heats the skin, stimulating the production of collagen.
Spend some time looking at our BBL treatment for pigmentation before and after photos.
The outcomes shown are only relevant for this patient and do not necessarily reflect the results other patients may experience. Results may vary due to many factors, including the individual’s genetics and lifestyle.
How BBL treatment works
During the procedure, the light energy from the BBL device precisely delivers laser energy to the areas of skin discolouration. This, in turn, heats the outermost layer of your skin. The heat is then absorbed by the target area and stimulates your body to produce new skin cells. If you have brown spots, the laser energy penetrates your skin until it reaches the pigment. The heat causes the pigment to break down into smaller particles and is naturally absorbed by your body. If you have skin redness, the laser energy causes your blood vessels in the target area to close. This, in turn, reduces the redness of your skin.
Suitable Candidates for BBL treatment
At Form & Face Clinic in Sydney, we use BBL to address pigmentation and a broad range of skin concerns. Suitable candidates for the treatment are looking to address noticeable skin redness, skin discolouration, age spots, or brown spots in their face, neck, chest, hands, and other body areas. In addition, candidates should be in good overall health and have realistic expectations about what the treatment can achieve.
What to Expect During a BBL Treatment
During the procedure, we will take baseline photos of your skin. We will then prepare the target area by cleansing your skin and applying a clear gel. For your protection, you will need to wear eye goggles. Once your skin is ready, the BBL device will be passed several times over the areas of skin discolouration. After the treatment, your skin will be cooled down and we will apply sunscreen.
