Wrinkle Treatments Before and After Photos
With age, fine lines and wrinkles appear on the forehead, around the eyes, and mouth. Constant facial movements and expressions exacerbate these creases. Wrinkle treatments aim to reduce the appearance of these signs of ageing by inhibiting the contractions of wrinkle-causing muscles.
Take the time to look at our before and after photos to see the work of our Aesthetic Nurses.
The outcomes shown are only relevant for this patient and do not necessarily reflect the results other patients may experience. Results may vary due to many factors, including the individual’s genetics and lifestyle.
How do Wrinkle Treatments Work
When injected into the selected muscles, wrinkle treatments block the chemical signals from the nerve to the muscle, thus limiting the muscle’s movement. This works to relax existing wrinkles and prevent the formation of new wrinkles.
Suitable Candidates for the Treatment
At Form and Face Clinic in Sydney, the first step to determining candidacy for wrinkle treatments is to have a consultation with one of our Aesthetic Nurses. Suitable candidates for wrinkle treatments want to address the following:
- Forehead and frown lines
- Eye lines
- Nose lines
- Neck bands
- Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)
In addition, candidates should be in good overall health and have realistic expectations about what the treatment can achieve.
How Wrinkle Treatments are Performed
Before the treatment, the Aesthetic Nurse will mark the areas of the face that will be treated. An anaesthetic cream can be applied to the skin to minimise discomfort during the injection process.
Once the treatment area is prepared, the practitioner will administer wrinkle treatments via injections. The entire process usually takes 15 to 20 minutes depending on the size of the body area and patient’s concerns. The muscles will begin to relax over the next two to three days, and the final results can be seen within ten days. The results can last for three to four months, after which you will need top-up treatments.
